You can purchase Altaro licenses, which themselves are very straightforward; you pay per host - Not per socket or CPU, and then purchase cloud storage for offsite backups independently. Yes we do! Kindly contact us at email@example.com for more details.
Altaro do indeed offer volume discounts for 10 licenses upwards, if you license the product, this is something were happy to discuss with you. Our subscription model and rate is predominantly driven by the cloud storage required. If you are looking for significant storage, we would again like the opportunity to discuss this with you. If you elect to subscribe with an MSP such as Deane's rather then purchase a license, you benefit from the full functionality of the product, have full access to support and have the cloud storage pool available. Once your subscription ends, this will no longer be the case and you would either need to renew, or purchase Altaro VM Backup.
If you purchase Altaro VM Backup it is a one-time purchase which includes 1 year of SMA (Software Maintenance Agreement), which entitles you to receiving premium Support and upgrades. From year 2 onwards, you will have the option to renew at a cost of 25% of the original license price, per extra year of SMA. You can choose not to renew the SMA and in that case the product will still continue working but you will not be eligible for technical support and major/minor upgrades.
If you have purchased Altaro VM Backup Add-ons do not require a license as long as the host is assigned a Standard or Unlimited Edition license. If you have subscribed there are no restrictions and offsite cloud storage is included based on the amount purchased.
